Isn’t it great to be South Africa, It is very great, it is very great.
My dear reader, it was not too long ago when I wrote a piece that requested you to support The Vote for Table Mountain campaign. On the 11/11/11, yes on 11 Novemeber 2011, Table Mountain,Cape Town South, South Africa was announced as one of the winners of the New 7 wonders of Nature.
For your perusal The New7Wonders of Nature, are:
1. Amazon
2. Halong Bay
3. Iguazu Falls
4. Jeju Island
5. Komodo
6. Puerto Princesa Underground River
7. Table Mountain!!!!
According to the new 7 wonders website, these results are provisional and there is a possibility that they may change. The voting is currently being checked, validated and verified and the official winners will be confirmed in early 2012 during the Official Inauguration ceremonies.
Cape Town, South Africa is indeed the city to be, the city on track and there is no doubt that its residents are proud to be Capetonians.
On another related event, in late October, Cape Town won the right to host the World Design Capital 2014.

Being in Philippines and, particularly travelling to the underground river, one these wonders, I’m glad to learn about one other, Table Mountain! I’m discovering your blog, and I will certainly go on reading it, thanks for teaching me all these things!
